Feyenoord, a professional football club in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, has a live animal mascot named "Bokkie". Bokkie is a black and white goat who makes regular appearances at Feyenoord’s matches since the 1950s. The pet’s name was inspired by the goat statue a butcher named Coen Moulijn put on top of his meat stall at a Rotterdam market in 1908. This goat statue became Feyenoord's luck charm and later the pet Bokkie was introduced as Feyenoord's live ancestor.
